| No other school can claim the expertise, knowledge, and achievement that three-time World Grand Prix Champion Freddie Spencer brings to the table -- and racetrack -- when he teaches a class. Spencer was not only a National and World Champion, though: his outstanding communications skills and ability to assess the performance of motorcycles and components has made him one of the top research and development riders in the world. | ![]() |

Freddie began his work in R&D in 1980, when he was hired by Honda of Japan to help them develop several 500cc Grand Prix racebikes bikes on which he also won multiple World Championships as well as the legendary Honda Interceptor in 1983. The engineers Freddie worked with in the '80s are the same engineers responsible for building some of the Honda's latest sportbikes, and that close bond with the motorcycles of today is what makes Freddie so committed to helping riders understand the bikes they ride. His work extended to the development of the first Michelin front and rear radial tires as well, building the foundation for today's Michelin Pilot Sport and Pilot Race and giving Freddie the unique perspective and understanding of the most intricate aspects of motorcycle and tire performance. Transferring this knowledge to you is what the Freddie Spencer High Performance Riding School is all about.
